Katherine Parrish has been teaching in the high school English classroom in the Toronto District School Board for over 25 years.
In 1999, curious about the ways the internet would impact how we teach, how we read and write, how we communicate, she began formally studying the use of computers in education at OISE/University of Toronto.
This led to her fascination with the emerging field of digital poetry. She presented at the inaugural E-poetry conference in 2001, where she found a community of artists and thinkers who were also curious and critical about this new media literary form.
Since then, Katherine has continued to investigate and experiment with the use of digital technology in the classroom.

But not only that: she is always knows what is the new cool new thing in writing, teaching and the digital. This, together with her deep knowledge of literature, pedagogy and innovations in the digital and online world, make her teaching exciting, inspiring, fun, and cutting edge.
